The best online Korean lessons

I’ve been doing the free conversation classes with Tina for 8 months now and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Korean! When I started, I had already been studying Korean for a while but had almost no experience actually speaking the language. These classes have helped me gain confidence and improve my ability to express myself in Korean. The conversations are fun and low-pressure, and Tina is great at speaking at a level I can understand while explaining any vocab or grammar that I am unfamiliar with. She also prepares materials reviewing the new topics we discussed after each lesson. Looking forward to my next class! 😊

I have probably been taking lessons with 채은성새님 for a few months now. Her classes are structured but flexible enough to address my specific learning needs. During our lessons she would take notes on key points and new vocabs. I really like this because it allows me to easily go back and review our lessons. Another thing I like about 채은성새님 lesson is the homework review. When I'm trying to practice Korean by myself I don't realize all the little mistakes that I am making. But through doing homework (writing sentences) and reviewing it after, I would say I've become more aware of the common mistakes that I make. And I'm now slowly but surely correcting them. Besides, the well structured lessons, 채은성새님 is both patient and a fun teacher. The clear explanations and cheerful personality makes for an enjoyable lesson.

It was such a fun and enjoyable learning experience! I loved being able to read along and work on improving my pronunciation. It really helped me pronounce words more clearly, remember new vocabulary, and feel more confident when speaking.

I started learning Korean three years ago, and reading - especially Batchim - has always been one of my biggest challenges. With Jinny, I finally feel like it is starting to click! Jinny makes every lesson genuinely fun, and learning with her feels surprisingly easy. You can really tell that she has developed a great teaching strategy based on her experience with different students. Her approach has completely changed the way I practise reading. Instead of feeling frustrated, I actually enjoy it now, and I can already see myself getting better and more confident. What I especially love about Jinny is the way she encourages me without putting any pressure on me. She corrects my mistakes in such a clear and visual way that the explanations really stick in my mind. I don’t just learn what is right or wrong - I actually understand how to do it better next time. I enjoy the lessons with Taejeong a lot! He is kind, patient, and approachable. His lessons keep me motivated to continue learning Korean. As I had already studied Korean, he had me take a level test before the first lesson. This helped him understand my level, and tailor the lessons to my skills and learning goals. His explanations of the Chinese character roots of words are extremely helpful. I will always remember the difference between 요리 and 유리, or the meaning of 도서관 and 서점 thanks to his explanations.

Jooah is one of the best Korean teachers on italki. She is patient, passionate, and genuinely cares about her students. You can really feel that she wants you to improve and succeed. She adapts every lesson to your level, making it challenging enough to help you progress without ever feeling overwhelming. She can teach students from beginner to advanced level, and her conversations are always fun, interesting, and engaging. Jooah has an excellent understanding of Korean grammar and, most importantly, explains it clearly to foreign learners. She also provides detailed notes after each lesson, making it easy to review and consolidate what you have learned. If you are serious about learning Korean, I highly recommend her. Her lessons will help you improve enormously and speak Korean more naturally, correctly, and fluently in real-life situations.

민 선생님 is an incredible teacher! I especially appreciate the effort she puts into preparing the lesson materials. She always prepares lesson materials that are tailored to my needs and interests. She carefully organizes and highlights useful expressions and vocabulary from videos, which has helped me understand how to use Korean naturally in real-life situations. During our lessons, she guides me in creating my own sentences using the new vocabulary and expressions, which has been incredibly helpful for remembering and actually applying what I learn. She also sends the materials to me before each class, which gives me time to prepare for the lesson. She is also very detail-oriented and identifies areas where I need improvement, especially with certain grammar points and my pronunciation. Thanks to 민 선생님, I have become much more confident in Korean and have even started using Korean in my music work. I highly recommend 민 선생님!

JaeHyeon is a truly excellent teacher and you can tell he is passionate about teaching. He explains Korean language in a way that makes it entertaining and engaging. He uses a mix of cultural reference, reading, speaking, vocabulary and quizzes to gain a clear understanding of your learning level. His learning materials are very clear and the lesson structures are well thought out. He is incredibly diligent, patient and kind. Don't look for other tutors, you have found the best one!
