I'm a certified Italian teacher for foreigners and I started with private lessons both online and in presence. So far, my students have expressed satisfaction about my lessons, because I'm flexible in my schedule and very focused on their goals. In my lessons, I follow an inductive methodology, which means that, as a guide in the learning process of the students, I help them to discover by themselves the rules that govern the various linguistic aspects. I think that this methodology is much more effective than other more traditional methods, since it allows better internalize what has been learned.

PhD in Applied Linguistics; +15 years of language teaching experience at university level I have been teaching German and Italian for over 15 years at a prestigious Canadian University as well as at a local language school. I have experience teaching all levels and age groups, both in-person and online.

Certified CEDILS teacher (from Ca' Foscari University in Venice) with over than 6 years experience I teach children (from 10 years old) as well as adults. Moreover I have an international and intercultural education (European Phd in Political History) having the opportunity of getting to know various European countries, interacting with students and workers from different nationalities and cultures. I have experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds, from complete beginners to advanced students. I love to motivate my students and make learning a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I always aim to make my classes comfortable and give my students the opportunity to express themselves and have more talk time, so they can build confidence and get to improve their skills.

I can do my best with students who have already started an italian class or worked with a professional teacher, and would like to improve by practising whit conversation what they studied with theory. I think my English is good enough to help my students when their Italian will need an helping hand, but i will always try to use italian the whole lesson. I am sure many people wants to know informations and curiosities about my country and i am always happy to let people know about my culture, and discuss with them every aspect of it. I like spontaneous conversation, according to your mood and the common interests we share, like friends relaxing and talking about everything.

Essendo io in prima persona una studentessa di lingue, so bene quali sono le principali difficoltà quando si vuole imparare una nuova lingua. E’ importante riuscire ad affrontare diverse tipologie di apprendimento, quindi nelle mie lezioni ci si focalizzerà su vocabolario, conversazione, modi di dire, tradizioni culinarie, grammatica (che non può mai mancare), musica e un po’ di traduzione. Gli ultimi 5 minuti delle mie lezioni saranno dedicati al feedback, così da poter capire la tua percezione su cosa credi che ti sia più utile e cosa meno, in modo che io possa pian piano costruire di volta in volta lezioni sempre più specifiche per te!
