Hi! I'm Annabelle, a native English speaker but have been living and studying in Italy on and off since 2010. I received my Master's in Italian Studies in 2018 and have been teaching Italian for the past six years. I am also a photographer, traveler, and book worm. I truly love teaching and find it so exciting to watch my students make progress. I have experience teaching students ages 3 to 80! I started tutoring college level students while I was in grad school and have continued to teach adults and children. I know what it's like to be a beginner student so I am very patient and I like to keep things fun and lighthearted. I generally assess a student's level in our first lesson and from there will choose the best materials and book to follow. I have all of my materials scanned in PDF form ready to send to my students and I like to use a mix of speaking, reading, grammar exercises, writing, listening and comprehension in each lesson. I also urge my students to do more interactive exercises like watch TV shows or movies in Italian and choose a phrase to discuss in class, or to make an Italian dish and write the recipe in Italian to discuss in our lessons. I strive to make my classes fun and interactive!
