I worked as a teacher in the public school system for a few years. But I decided to open an English school in my home using the one-on-one teaching strategies. I have taught classes in English and Portuguese for over 10 years, focusing mostly on music, but also on language instruction. I've had close to a thousand students in my career, both in social projects and private companies, online and in person. Dou aulas de inglês e português há mais de 10 anos, principalmente sobre música, mas também aulas de língua. Já tive cerca de mil alunos na minha carreira, tanto em projetos sociais quanto em empresas privadas, online ou presencialmente.

I find it amazing to track the student's progress, and see how they would feel more comfortable with the language as we invested in this journey. Communication is key. It's important that you feel engaged in the classes by speaking and practicing the language in contexts that would sound more natural to you.

Por volta de 2006 tive minha primeira experiência como professor, ministrando aulas sobre máquinas elétricas e eletricidade básica para alunos dos cursos técnicos de Automação industrial e Eletrotécnica. Desde então, continuei atuando como formador, capacitando e qualificando pessoas para o mercado de trabalho, não só nas áreas de tecnologia mas também no âmbito das normas e legislações de segurança para o trabalho em ambiente industrial. A cerca de 10 anos me mudei para a Europa, e foi então a convite do meu primeiro aluno que comecei ensinar português brasileiro para estrangeiros. Fiquei logo fascinado pela experiência, e desde então não parei mais.
