My passion for languages led me to spend an academic year teaching Portuguese at the University of Georgia in the US on a Fulbright scholarship. And although life-altering doesn't even start to describe that year alone, I have been teaching languages for over 11 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have worked with a wide range of students: from 4-year-old children to older adults; from public school and university students to businesspeople. My main goal is to encourage students to communicate as actively as they can from day one, using highly contextualized authentic material. I see our lessons as a taste of what real, diverse Portuguese sounds like. I also care deeply about what my students are looking for. I've helped students prepare for job interviews or proficiency exams, read through Brazilian literature... or prepared to spend weeks in Brazil with their in-laws! Bachelor's degree in children education I have been teaching children since 2016, and in addition to teaching Portuguese, I have also taught English and Brazilian Sign Language in schools and online. I have a bachelor's degree in education and have taught over 200 people, from children to the elderly.
