I usually enjoy watching YouTube videos. I'm currently watching a history channel about the history of the UK.
The narrator's stories are familiar and interesting, so I’m going to write about one of them.
In 1649 years, people in England covered their windows using bricks.
Why did they do such a thing?
In this era, King William the third needed money for the country, so he found a new idea.
He taxed common people's windows.
The tax gradually went up and finally reach 30%〜50% of the rent.
After that the number of houses without windows increased.
There was no more sunlight and fresh air coming inside houses, so health problems began to happen.
You can see a few of these houses in England today.
