I agree with most of the other answers. Here are examples in a sentence; "His hair is spiked." "He has put hair gel into the spiked hairstyle he has." "It's unusual to see a spiked buzz cut on a medical professional. " A "Buzz" hair cut is when the hair is so short it can stand straight up.

They are usually known as ‘punk’ hairstyles, after the youth rebel culture of the 1970s and 80s. The best known are the spiky cuts running front to back across the midline of the head, known as. ‘Mohawk’, after the North American indigenous tribe of that name.

Hi ...I am not native speaker ... hope my answer will help you : The stuff on top of one's head is commonly referred to as "hair" in American English. If you are referring to a specific hair style detail, you could use a more specific term such as "bangs" (hair that hangs over the forehead), "ponytail" (hair that is gathered and tied back with a hair tie), "bun" (hair that is twisted and gathered into a round shape at the back of the head), or "curls" (hair that is styled into round or spiral shapes).

Typically we would refer to this style as a Mohawk hairstyle. This is a form of punk hairstyle and several types exist to include liberty spikes, caterpillar Mohawks, etc. I hope this helps out.
