(part 1)Job sharing is a type of part-time employment in which one position can be shared by two part-time workers; that is, the two people share the work, hours, and pay of one job. Job sharing opens more opportunities to people who have other responsibilities, such as taking care of their children or studying, and who need flexible working hours. Do you agree or disagree that job sharing is good for workers? Why?
Life today is full of uncertainty, and it is very important that we have flexible working time to deal with those unpredictabilities. In my opinion, many people can benefit from a new type of employment called job sharing, which means two individuals share work tasks, hours and earnings for the same position. I feel this way for two main reasons, and I will explore it in the following paragraphs.
First of all, job sharing enable those people, who otherwise can't get any job, to go to work. Regular jobs require employees to work for a fixed spam of time, which could be a big challenge for people who have to take more time to look after their babies but also need to earn some money. However, if two mothers take on a part-time job together, they can collaborate with each other on time and workload sharing. One mom may take care of more assignments at one time when her partner has a more demanding child, and accordingly she gets more payment than the other in return. Therefore, both of them can get some wages to improve their lives. For this reason, I believe many will get more work opportunities if they can share a job with another.( to be continued)
