I do not hold a high ranking position in my country.  However, I am interested in why and how investors invest internationally.

I have some of my own ideas about ¨what might be the advantages for the investing in the U.S., but I searched to see if articles on the internet agreed with my own idea.  It was interesting that most all of the articles in English seemed to assume that the investor would be American.  Here is one article (written for Americans) that does give reasons why overweighting U.S. stocks in a global portfolio might make sense.  Look at the section ¨Wny a U.S. Investment Bias Makes Sense¨ http://www.money-rates.com/advancedstrategies/moneymarket/reasons-to-favor-us-stocks.htm  Obviously the first reason, reducing currency risk, would not be the same for people from other countries. Any country outside of their own country would expose them to some currency risk.
