My favorite Japanese dramas:

Orange Days - guy falls in love with a deaf girl. it's about college life :)

Last Friends - kind of weird drama about a group of friends. there's some interesting bisexual/homosexual subplots. main focus is domestic violence, I guess.

Hana Yori Dango - really popular drama about high school (?) life. many stars including Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun.

Life - kind of depressing drama about bullying in school.

Puropozu Daisakusen - about a guy who goes back in time to try to win over this girl who ended up marrying another man. It's fun ^^

Have you ever heard '日本人の知らない日本語(Nihonjin no shiranai nihongo)'?

My Italian friend who studies Japanese liked this TV drama!

@Kiki it is beach boys but I think it is hard to find from internet. Because it is covered by American band beach boys.:)

I really enjoyed Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki. You can watch it in Japanese and English.
