Does Japanese writing not use spaces? I understand that it is unnecessary for kanji, but how do you know where a word ends with kana?

Once you start understanding vocabulary and how hiragana is used with that vocabulary you begin to see why spaces are unnecessary in writing. Itskindooflikehowreadingthissentenceisalittledifficultbutyoucandoitsinceyouknowwhatthesmallwordsinbetweennounsandverbsaredoing.
