Hello everyone!
Unfortunately I don't speak German but nevertheless I'd like to know one thing.
Russians say: "It's good there, where we are absent"
Englishmen say: "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence."
Is there such proverb in Germany? What do Germans say?
The answer in German with translation to English would be much appreciated.
Best,
Andrey
Die Kirschen in Nachbars Garten schmecken immer süßer.
(The cherries in the neighbour's garden taste aways sweeter.)
"always". *ack*. Why can't we edit our posts here?
Thanks, pir
