Francesca
Today's book. "Tutta la Mia Città". Yesterday I bought a new book and today I'm going to start reading it. It's "Tutta la Mia Città" ("All My City") by Carlotta Pistone. Carlotta, the main character, is a 30years old aspiring writer living in Milan. Just a curiositiy: the writer has the same description, it may be an autobiography. She is an aspiring writer and she's working in the publishing industry without any satisfactions. In her free time she hangs out at cool pubs and she obsessively controls every day her ex boyfriend's Facebook profile. She knows and meets a lot of people living the chaotic social life of Milan, but even though she has fun among all those persons she cannot forgive Michele. The story tells Carlotta's daily life showing us all her ups and downs, both funny and sad moments. It is a light hearted story, perfect for summer. And it also underlines the strong influence that social networks such as Facebook actually have in our lives. I think that many people abuse of it, often losing the right vision of reality.

Today's book: "Tutta la Mia Città".

Yesterday I bought a new book and today I'm going to start reading it. It's "Tutta la Mia Città" ("All My City") by Carlotta Pistone.

Carlotta, the main character, is a 30 year old (note 1) aspiring writer living in Milan. It's noteworthy/interesting to see that this also applies to the writer, so the book may be an autobiography.

She is an aspiring writer and she's working ('and she works' sounds more natural or say 'an aspiring writer who's working...') in the publishing industry without any satisfaction (it sounds more natural to use the singular).

In her free time she hangs out at cool pubs and every day (it sounds better coming before the verb) she obsessively checks her ex boyfriend's Facebook profile.

She knows and meets a lot of people living the chaotic social life of Milan, but even though she has fun among all those people she cannot forgive Michele. The story tells of Carlotta's daily life, showing us all her ups and downs, both funny and sad moments.

It is a light hearted story, perfect for summer. And it also underlines the strong influence that social networks such as Facebook actually have on our lives. I think that many people abuse of it, often losing touch with reality.

Ben fatto Francesca! And enjoy the novel!
