Task2 Joe's plane landed on time in Heathrow airport. He had exactly one hour to get out of the airport and over the center of London to catch his train to Manchester. He hurried up Customs and passport control and then raced towards the taxi sign at the exit. Unfortunately, at the moment, the strap on his rucksack broke and it fell off his back and onto the ground. Dirty socks, shirts, and underpants split all over the airport floor. Joe was so embarrassed! He stuffed everything back into his rucksack and, pushing his way against the crowds of people, finally made it across the taxi rank. He jumped into the nearest taxi, shouting 'Euston Station, quickly, please!' The taxi set off at such speed that Joe was thrown forward, hitting his face at the glass partition. The taxi sped on finally arrived at the city center, and inevitably, the middle of the traffic jam! It would be quicker to walk. Joe paid the driver, leap out of the taxi and ran through the pavement, against along all the brightly-lit shop windows. At last he could see the station opposite, but it was difficult to get across the roads because of all the traffic. He reached the station just his train was leaving. He jumped over the barrier, raced through the platform and leapt on the train with second to spare. He sighed with relief - he would be home in time for Christmas.
