viennent y passer le week-end --So how to read "viennent y" in French?
in "viennent" , the "nent" is silent. So it is like "vien i passer..."
right?
but someone read like "vien t y passer.."

In normal conversation, like you said:
"vien i"
And you will do an "enchaînement", so you'll pronounce it:
"viè ni"

so the last "t" of "viennent" is pronounced and formed a liaison with "y" :)
