This is a good way to learn a language, but you have to remember that song lyrics are not always in correct vocabulary or grammar.  The song writer's intention is to write a good song, using the tool of language, and it doesn't matter to him/her if it is a proper sentence.  So go ahead, but still you need to learn the real basics of a language.
