How can I simplify the sentence ?
I want to simplify the sentence "Both them have only one difference, the hinge for RePak-P has steel tongue, but the hinge for Repak - T has not."
Can I change it to that "Both them have only one difference, the hinge for RePak-P has steel tongue, but Repak - T has not." , I omit the " hinge" .

Sorry I checked this again and want to answer it slightly differently:
"The only difference between the Repak-P and the Repak-T is that the former has a hinge with a steel tongue".  
You can decide which alternative best explains what you wanted to say.
