How to improve the listening skill of English?
As a freshman of English major,my homework requires me to listen a mountain of materials,including dialogue and news.but news always make me confused,I have no idea what should I do.

One option might be to get Chinese news reports on the same topics. That would give you the basic idea of the content of a news story. Then it might be easier to understand the English with this background information in your head.
