What's it called, footbridge or overpass? Please let me know what it is called that the bridge for pedestrians crossing over to the other side of the street in downtown, footbridge or overpass?. Thank you in advance!

They are often called "footbridges"--for example, the Arthur Fieder Footbridge in Boston: http://tinyurl.com/kph7uy2 "Overpass" by itself usually means a vehicular overpass for cars. When it is for pedestrians it needs to be called a "pedestrian overpass." As Bruce says, "pedestrian bridge" works, too. "Skyway" is also used: the Minneapolis Skyway System, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minneapolis_Skyway_System
