I am learning German and I am very interested in spending time in Germany.
I have learned a good bit about German culture, but I have not been able to find much about pets.
Is there anyone who can tell me about relationships, importance, etc... with pets in Germany?

What exactly do you want to know?! Do you want to learn the vocabulary and phrases in German, or are you asking about living in Germany concerning pets and apartments? (for example.)

I've got the impression that Germans really like pets, especially dogs - I see a lot of Germans that go out to walk their dogs. Most of my german friends have dogs and cats (and not only one!) lol I hope this helps.
