What are nuances between "committee" and "council"? I have consulted dictionaries but I still can't distinguish those two words.Could you help me?Thanking you!

They are similar, but a bit different. A "Committee" is a group of people that is appointed for a particular purpose. It can be anything and they may discuss topics related to their group. A "Council" seems to make more executive decisions or serves to give advice to a particular organization or group. In short, their purpose is make more decisions and affect a group. A committee may not always do this.
