Clothes 'shop' or 'store'? Is there any difference when we use 'shop' and 'store'? Thank you!And how about fruit 'shop' or 'store'?

British or American, generally... British English traditionally used 'shop', American: store. Either would be understood anywhere.

I was going to respond but I see Gary has said it perfectly. Either is understood, but in American we tend to use store more, and say 'shopping '. But as Gary said, both are understood in either country. I know I lived in England for a good bit of time.
