For me, “hearty heart” creates no associations really. It’s not an idiom, so the first thing my brain did was to combine different meanings of “hearty” with “heart” in order to try to make sense of it. I like to read poetry and enjoy unusual combinations of words. But “hearty heart” doesn’t trigger my imagination or curiosity. It just sounds a little silly to me :-)
