2017년 03월 05일: Synonyms, Antonyms in Korean Currently reviewing for the EPS TOPIK this coming month in our country, and one of my current focus of my study nowadays in the synonyms and antonyms. Based from what I've noticed from the previous exam papers, I really need to enhance my vocab since there will be a lot of word substitutions. SO in line of this, can I ask some of the synonyms and antonyms that can be useful in workplace? Your answers are well appreciated. 미리 감사합니다!

I'm not familiar with EPS TOPIK, but I think specifically focusing on synonyms and antonyms is not a good approach. Synonyms and antonyms are rather narrow concepts not universally applicable because a lot of words do not have them or have multiple of them. They are generally too difficult to discuss. Here are some words related to the workplace and jobs. 일(job, work), 회사(company), 직장, 일터, 작업(job, task), 작업장(workplace), 직업(occupation) 출근(going to work), 퇴근(leaving work), 입사(joining a company), 퇴사(quitting a company), 근무(doing one's work) 근무처, 근무 부서(department one belongs to), 사무실(office), 오피스(office), 과(section), 부, 부서(department) 회의, 미팅(meeting), 점심시간(lunch time), 잔업(overtime work), 휴가(vacation), 병가(sick leave) 상사(boss), 동료(coworker), 상급자, 상급직원(superior), 부하, 부하직원(subordinate), 고객, 손님(client, customer) 월급(monthly salary), 봉급(salary), 연봉(annual income), 급여(remuneration), 임금(salary and wages) 승진, 진급(promotion), 파면(firing), 해고(termination, layoff), 이직, 전직(changing jobs) 채용(hire), 면접(job interview), 월급을 올려 주다(give a salary raise), 월급을 깎다(cut the salary) And someone created a nice word list page that one must pick up to be proficient in Korean. https://www.topikguide.com/topik-intermediate-vocabulary-list/
