I want to change the direct speech into the indirect speech. How do I do?
He prayed to God, "Please save them"
I want to change the above sentence(direct speech) into the indirect speech.
How should I do?
He prayed for God to save them.
Is this correct?

He prayed TO God THAT they would be saved./ He prayed for thier rescue.
