Grammatically there is no problem with your sentence. (for using be + to "

You could say: "I am a doorman (US) or porter (UK) at the shopping mall." If necessary to clarify, you could add: "I'm responsible for opening doors and screening visitors." Sounds a bit more exciting, doesn't it? 😉
