virtual: Existing in essence or effect though not in actual fact "a virtual dependence on charity"; "a virtual revolution"; "virtual reality" actual: Taking place in reality; not pretended or imitated "we saw the actual wedding on television"; "filmed the actual beating"

The line blurs even more when you consider "virtual reality" which is computer-based that mimicks actual experiences. Continuing the previous answer, Wii Golf can be considered virtual reality because you have a club, although it is fake.

"Virtual" refers (these days) to something that exists or is simulated primarily on a computer. "Actual" refers to something that occurs in the actual world (though sometimes it's getting harder to tell the difference.) For example, I can play a virtual game of golf on the computer. It may be fairly real, but there is actually no real club, ball or golf course that exists in the real world. If I go out physically to a golf course and play golf, that is an actual game of golf. If I hit someone with a actual golf ball, they will yell "Ouch!". I don't play golf, by the way - can't stand it. It makes a good example, though.
