Hi, there In American English, can you use “getting to...” to mean “starting to...”? Example: “Ok, this whole situation is getting to be ridiculous” Thank you!!

Yes and no, in this instance, but they are not interchangeable in most situations. Read on. Think of, "getting to" as "in the process of," or becoming. This whole situation is becoming ridiculous. You could also say, "This whole situation is "starting to get" ridiculous."
