My difficulties in learning English: In the time that I have been learning English, I have found many problems about it. Firstly, I can't understand it sometimes, reason being, that I can't listen to the lesson clearly. We don't have lessons in Mandarin. Secondly, when I read some English articles, I can't translate them well. I think I will need more practice. Where there is a will, there is a way!

First, I can't understand sometimes [due to the reason that] because I can't [listen] hear the [liaison] words clearly. We don't have liaison /elision❊ between words in mandarin. Second, when I read some English articles, I can't translate them well. I think I need more practice. "Where there is a will, there is a way." ❊ elision of sounds is when they are omitted [missed out] when speaking [verb - to elide]
