Many tutors teach English writing very well, but they've never been published. But I have been writing for top American publications for years: Cosmopolitan, The Washington Post and The Boston Globe, among many others. So when you have me as your teacher, you'll know that you're being taught by a real writer who makes a living
from her writing in addition to teaching on italki.
Of course, I can help you learn or improve your English speaking, listening and reading, as well.

If you want to write like a native-English speaker, then I’m your teacher. I'm seeking self-motivated students - intermediate, advanced or proficient - who like to help plan their lessons with me. When students take charge of their lessons, I'm really impressed.
I tell students at the beginning of our sessions to not get really upset or over-apologize about mistakes. I make plenty of mistakes, too. So if you can enjoy yourself while you're learning English, I'm happy. This is not a course on creative writing in English. The writing we practice here is for your English-speaking life. I'll help you write effective emails to employers, friends, bosses, among others. You'll also learn to write essays for English tests, such as the IELTS, TOEFL - and resumes and applications for jobs or school.
Incidentally, I never use textbooks during lessons except when requested. Instead, I use "authentic material" like articles from newspapers and magazines, YouTube videos, photography and even objects you use in everyday life.
