Over 5000 Students Taught Successfully! I am extremely excited to be part of your English journey! After a career working as a fine art consultant, I needed a new challenge. So, I went back to school and earned my teaching credential. After teaching in the classroom for a few years, I decided to become an online teacher and digital nomad in order to see the world—22 countries and counting so far. I also love listening to books on my phone, doing crossword puzzles and eating anything chocolate! I earned my B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and my Teaching Degree from California State University, San Marcos, I taught in the classroom as a credentialed teacher for a couple of years; and currently, I work as an online ESL teacher where I have successfully taught over 5000 learners aged 4-74. I would classify my teaching style as fun and focused. I like to have fun in class, but I have found rapid correction is very important when learning a language. I have three types of classes to fit your learning goals. You can choose a 1) casual conversational lesson based on your interests; 2) a more formal conversational class that would be based on specific material and include prompts to induce deeper understanding or 3) a formal lesson that covers reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. All of these classes can also include homework and quizzes if that is your preference.
