Hi, I'm Dylan and I'm an experienced English Tutor from South Africa.
I am an English Tutor who is passionate about helping people achieve their language-learning goals. I am interested in meeting people from different parts of the world to experience different cultures to discover and learn new things. I have been teaching online for just over three years and I have met people from across the world. It has been amazing to help them improve their English and learn about their lives, culture and country.

I believe that general conversations are the most effective way to improve spoken English. As a teacher, I build rapport with students and discover their hobbies and interests to incorporate them into lessons.
This makes it a fun and relatable learning experience. I assess the language level of my students through these conversations and look for core areas that the student needs to improve on such as grammar and pronunciation. Valuable feedback is something I firmly believe in giving and as a teacher I also love to receive valuable feedback from students in order to give them the best possible learning experience.

During my lessons, I focus purely on the student's primary needs. I generally have a question-and-answer structure to maximize conversations and assess language skills.
However, I am flexible and open to trying other methods on students' requests. I generally initiate the conversations and correct grammar and pronunciation throughout the lesson. I also focus on improving the student's vocabulary by incorporating various topics in the conversation and making suggestions on sentence construction.สื่อการสอนของฉัน

According to Italki statistics, Dylan was my favorite teacher in 2024. We had 37 great lessons and spent 2220 minutes of interesting conversations. At the same time, Dylan always follows my methodology and leaves useful notes during the lesson.

My 10 y.o. daughter loves to talk to Dylan. There's a good chance she might even think he's one of the coolest people she'd met because--spoiler alert--apparently he has a pet FERRET))
Like all the other people already said: patient and polite, great conversationalist. Just what Zoe needed for English speaking practice and we are lucky, if not privileged, to be able to enlist his help.

This is the last lesson with Mr Dylan, He has already taught me approximately three hundred lessons. One and a half years ago was the time of my first lesson with him and at that time my English level was very low. My purpose was to achieve 6 points on the IELTS test three months after that I achieved that. I can't forget how excited I was. I really appreciate Dylan’s efforts. He is a good teacher he is passionate, creative, and extremely helpful to my English studying. When I write this, I just have eighteen days until I go to Australia. I hope you can be prosperous in your English teaching career. Have a nice day, my friend Dylan see you later.
