Having been born and raised in the USA, I'm better able to assist you on your English-learning journey. I've traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, India and Mexico. I've also taught students from all over the world for the past four years. This has given me great experience and insight in communicating with others from foreign countries. Some of my hobbies are cooking, reading, video gaming, meditating, cycling, rollerblading, and spending time with my cat. I'm also very much into metaphysics and abstract spiritual topics. I have a degree in both journalism and English literature, which included courses in linguistics. In 2021, I graduated from the CELTA academy in Cairo, Egypt which consisted of 200 learning hours. I've also taught in-person classroom lessons to elementary level and intermediate level students in the countries of Egypt, Tanzania and Turkiye. I'm confident that I can help you improve your ability to understand English. I'm able to teach pronunciation, grammar, reading, speaking, and more.

I've taught over 7000 lessons to a variety of students. My lessons are fun and interactive. I enjoy using a wide variety of teaching materials such as pictures, worksheets, role-playing games, and engaging activities. I use scaffolding techniques to gradually build up a student's knowledge and offer a student-centered approach to learning. I'm also experienced in giving IELTS lessons and am well-versed in the exam and its expectations.

CELTA - Reachout Academy - International House Cairo - 2021Face-to-face CELTA (certificate of English language teaching to adults) course in Cairo Egypt. This course consisted of 200 classroom hours where I was taught how to become a better English teacher. I also personally taught eight classroom lessons to elementary level students and intermediate level students separately. The CELTA enables me to successfully work in a variety of English language contexts around the world.
