I highly recommend Gilvan as a Portuguese tutor. As someone who was previously scared to speak the language, Gilvan has been incredibly patient and encouraging. He creates a relaxed and supportive learning environment that has helped me build my confidence and overcome my fear of speaking. One of the things I appreciate most about him is his ability to explain complex grammar concepts in an easily understandable way. He uses fun mathematical examples to clarify certain word uses which I appreciate a lot as I struggle with grammar. He also draws from his own experiences of learning languages such as German to provide valuable tips for language learning. Overall, I have had a fantastic experience learning Portuguese with Gilvan. He is an excellent tutor who is passionate about helping me achieve my goal of being able to converse fluently in Portuguese. Gilvan is a great teacher, he has excellent materials and always explains in detail the grammar rules. He also studies linguistics in the college, so he deeply understands the languages and he uses that knowledge to help your students.
