Another fascinating and engaging lesson with Adriana! She has such a natural way of bringing Colombia to life through the topics we discuss. This time we talked about the country’s landscapes and biodiversity, from mountains and páramos to the incredible variety of plants and animals. The way she explains the geography and cultural richness makes it feel vivid and real. What I appreciate most is that it never feels like a lecture, it’s always a genuine discussion. She shares fascinating insights but keeps it interactive, and even provides helpful resources or visuals so you can better picture what she’s describing. She speaks at my level in a way that builds confidence while naturally introducing new vocabulary. I’m improving my speaking while also learning so much about Colombian culture, which makes every lesson feel meaningful and motivating.

Another really engaging and enriching lesson! We talked about the different ethnic groups and communities in Colombia, which made it fascinating to learn about the country’s diverse people, cultures, and regional identities, along with some of the history behind them. It added so much depth and context to the language we were using. I got a great mix of reading and speaking practice, which is exactly what I needed since I’m a bit rusty. She was very patient and excellent at explaining new words or ideas in a way that helped me understand and actually use them, while still keeping the class immersive. She was very professional and well prepared with useful materials, and she really centered the lesson around my learning experience and goals. It felt both supportive and productive, a great balance between cultural learning and practical speaking practice!

Great first lesson with Adriana! She’s very easy to talk to and creates such a warm, comfortable atmosphere that speaking Spanish feels natural. She matched her Spanish well to my level, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the conversation.
