Hi, I am currently working full time at an international school teaching IGCSE English. Originally, I am from Cambridgeshire, England, and I was previously based in France for 16 years
In France, I was working as a marine engineer on a sailing yacht. Today I live in Bali, Indonesia and I have lived on various islands here in ndonesia for more than 6 years.
I have always had to learn new languages and adapt to a new country since leaving my home country.
So therefore, I have my own learning methods, which I can relay to my students.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
My day job is teaching IGSCE English to highschool kids from year Y8 to Y11. I believe listening and speaking are essential exercise to have a good footing in a new language. We always try to imitate others to improve our skills, whether that is in sports or languages.
From my own experience, mastering conversation has helped me progress in a new language by raising my confidence to articulate words correctly through trial and error. My online teaching experience extends to all ages, from 5-year-olds and up. บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
Relaxed and extremely patient, I speak slowly and clearly.
Conversation in class is the primary exercise follwed by an article read aloud, as it's a great way to learn new vocabulary and improve pronunciation.
Corrections and feedback given along with suggestions for grammar study based on your mistakes. You will have access to an unlimited arsenal of my study materials.
As finance and economics have always been an interest of mine, I am at ease conversing with and assisting students on business topics also.

Working with Gareth Todd has been an amazing experience. He helped me improve my communication skills and made it so easy to understand the structure of the Cambridge C1 exam, which I successfully passed.

He is really friendly and also find different topics to broaden student's horizens. I also got 7.0 for speaking of IELTS after having lessons with him. Additionally, what he suggested me use in speaking is so useful in speaking tests. Highly recommanded.

The lessons with Gareth were very helpful in my preparation for the Cambridge CAE exam. He helped me significantly with all parts, corrected my essays, listened carefully when I practiced my speaking and at the end of each lesson he sent me notes, along with new words and mistakes I made so that I could learn from them. I was confident while taking the exam and I passed it. I would highly recommend Gareth to other students if you are looking for a teacher who will provide you with quality preparation and assistance.
