Hello! My name is Erik. I'm a native English speaker and certified English tutor from the U.S.A. I'm also a second-language learner myself, so I understand some of the challenges that can have. I love being a part of the whole language learning community around the world. I could definitely be called a "Language Nerd".
Hallo! Mein Name ist Erik. Ich bin englischer Muttersprachler und zertifizierter Englischlehrer aus den USA. Da ich selbst eine zweite Sprache lerne, kenne ich einige der Herausforderungen, die das mit sich bringen kann. Ich liebe es, ein Teil der gesamten Sprachlerngemeinschaft auf der ganzen Welt zu sein. I'm very easygoing and understanding, so from the first lesson you can relax and be yourself.

Our lessons will be very conversational - especially at first. We are human beings after all.
To be effective, this should be fun and interesting, so bring your sense of humor. ;)
I might suggest activities for you to try outside of lesson time (we can only be together so often, right?).

Um effektiv zu sein, sollte dies Spaß machen und interessant sein, also bring deinen Sinn für Humor mit. ;)
