I had such a great time with Tammy sensei during our first trial lesson that I decided to continue learning with her. Tammy sensei is funny in the best possible way, which makes me feel relaxed and engaged throughout the lesson. She always catches my mistakes and helps me correct them. Even though today’s lesson was only an hour long, I found myself reflecting on what I had learned afterward, and I realized just how helpful the lesson had been. I really appreciate how she makes every lesson both enjoyable and meaningful. タミー先生は優しくて、辛抱強くて、とても面白い先生です。いつも楽しくて、リラックスした雰囲気でレッスンを受けられるので、自然と会話も弾みます。私の間違いにもすぐに気づいて、丁寧に直してくださいます。 私が言いたいことをうまく表現できないときも、いつも興味を持って話を聞いて、まるで私の言いたいことを察してくださるかのように、ぴったりの言葉や表現を一緒に探してくれます。 今日のレッスンは1時間だけでしたが、終わった後も習ったことを振り返るほど、学びの多いレッスンでした。 タミー先生、いつもありがとうございます！これからもたくさんレッスンを受けられるのを楽しみにしています。

Tammy is a fantastic Japanese tutor! She was incredibly helpful when I was preparing for a trip months ago. After a long break from studying, I was nervous about how much I’d forgotten, but Tammy’s encouraging and reassuring presence made all the difference. She helped me realize I remembered more than I thought and expertly assessed where we should pick back up. If you are looking for a tutor who is both highly effective and supportive, Tammy is phenomenal!

Sensei is always a fun and dedicated teacher - very knowledgeable - I would fully recommend her to students wanting to study Japanese - but don't take my slots! :-)
