Shifa Jan

Lessons with Shifa are always delightful! She is very well trained, her materials are excellent, and the methods she uses are effective for both conversation with native speakers and building literacy skills. My progress is Pashto has grown exponentially in the last three months, and more importantly, I am having so much fun in the process. I look forward to taking many more lessons with Shifa!

It has been a few months yet that I learn Pashto with shifa. Because I am a beginner from the beginning, I really didn't have any knowledge about Pashto so take time to feel the process. First we learned the alphabet and the basic to make a sentence, like personal pronoun, demonstrative pronoun, possessive pronoun. Every lesson we begin with a small daily dialogue, then we see some grammar points, we learn a few verbs per lesson as well. We have some exercises too. A good thing that she thinks about the culture as well, she teaches me some Pashto proverbs. Now every class we speak a little about daily life before beginning the lesson and I can feel improvement. I really appreciate taking class with her. Even if the method was built on writing and scripts, she can adapt her method to your need. I hope in a few months to be able to speak and understand more and more, and to be able to understand some videos or recording.

Shifa is patient and moves the lesson at a good pace! She is always happy to answer any questions I have.

Thanks to Shifa I learned a lot of Paschto already. She is very kind and polite. I love her way of teaching and her material is great. I’m learning paschto in englisch even through I’m not a native englisch speaker and Shifa makes it feel easy to do so. We always have fun during our lessons and I would definitely recommend her as a teacher.

She is an amazing teacher!! She can easily go back and forth between Pashto script and English letters, if you’d like. She has great study materials and is super patient.

I’ve been taking Pashto lessons with Shifa for a long time now and I’ve made a lot of progress. She’s a good and supportive teacher and our lessons are always enjoyable.
