I am a 29-year-old polyglot and former architect living in Rio de Janeiro. Raised across Germany, Spain, and Brazil, I grew up navigating four native languages: German, Portuguese, Spanish, and Catalan. Later, I added English and Italian to my repertoire.
My life is defined by movement—from backpacking the Andes to practicing capoeira, highline and Theatre. I don’t just teach grammar; I share the cultural DNA of the places I’ve called home. Whether you are learning for a move abroad, a career shift, or personal passion, I bring a global perspective and a deep love for philosophy, music, and art to every conversation.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I believe no two learners are the same, so I don’t use a "one size fits all" curriculum. My approach is intuitive and hands-on, developed through years of helping students bridge the gap between "studying" a language and actually living it.
I act as your linguistic coach, identifying your unique patterns and strengths from day one. Instead of rote memorization, I focus on the "why" behind the language, giving you the logic you need to build sentences independently. Tailored Tracks: Whether we follow a structured grammar book for exam prep or dive into "Street Portuguese/German" for relocation, the material is always relevant to your goals.

I have been taking Portuguese lessons with Bernardo for a couple of months now, and I am very pleased with his teaching method. He is always patient with me and takes the time to explain things in different ways until I understand. He is also kind and funny, making each lesson enjoyable and unique. Additionally, he assigns great homework that helps me practice what we have learned in class. I would highly recommend Bernardo as a Portuguese teacher.

Bernardo is great! He creates an environment that makes it easy to speak and allows conversation to flow naturally while teaching at the same time. As someone who doesn't like learning out of a textbook, this is perfect. Although I am sure he has the ability to adapt any student!

Today I had my first lesson with Bernardo, after six months of barely speaking any German. The atmosphere built in the class was the best and I really felt comfortable to speak and make mistakes, so as to learn from them. He is a super friendly guy that seems genuinely interested in those that take lessons with him and I am already looking forward to our next lesson together!

Bernardo is really a good bet for your money. You really take advantage of the full hour from minute one. Recommended if you get frustrated with slowness.
