Hello! I'm a native Japanese teacher from Japan.
I especially enjoy teaching Japanese to children 👧👦 and helping them feel comfortable speaking Japanese.
My lessons are suitable for:

I create a comfortable learning environment where students can focus on speaking Japanese without feeling pressured or worried about mistakes.
I especially enjoy teaching children and helping them learn Japanese step by step. Children sometimes feel shy when speaking a new language, so I teach patiently and support them at their own pace.
For adult students, I enjoy conversation lessons and helping learners express their thoughts more clearly and naturally in Japanese.
I adjust my speaking speed and explanations depending on each student's level, so beginners are always welcome.

I have completed 11 lessons with Ami sensei and every single one has been really fun, informative, and helped me grow my confidence in Japanese. Whenever I have trouble with anything we're learning, she takes her time and goes over it with me until I feel comfortable. That amount of dedication makes me continue to book lessons with her, not to mention how encouraging she is. I hope to continue working with Ami sensei in my journey to become fluent in Japanese. I would highly recommended Ami sensei to any student who wants a detail oriented, kind, and energetic teacher!
