Val has taken me from complete beginner to being able to have full conversations in Swahili. She's patient, uses various methods to teach, explains things clearly and somehow has an endless amount of interesting questions to ask, which is great when practicing conversational Swahili. And she is very easy going and open minded. Val hufanya kujifunza kiswahili kufurahisha sana na kila darasa ni nzuri sana. Nimefurahi kuendelea kujifunza Kiswahili na ninafurahi kwamba nimepata mwalimu mzuri wa kunisaidia!

This was a really fun lesson and perfect for getting started with Swahili. I learned a lot and wasn't overwhelmed. Val was really nice and had great grammar explanations.

Poa sana sana! Asante sana, Viv! :) My first Swahili lesson was really fun and informative. I learnt a lot of new things about greetings and how to make some basic sentences in the present tense, as well as how word order works. I now feel happy that I can construct a range of sentences in the present tense, which is great! I always enjoy learning some basic grammar early on so I can do simple sentence-building right from the start. Viv was very friendly and well-prepared, and very patient with my many questions as well. A really enjoyable lesson :)

As a professional teacher, I'm amazed by how much I learned in such a short time. Valary was organised, helpful and inspiring. A fantastic teacher - book her before the rest of the world finds out!
