Mwalimu Tina is an exceptional teacher. She has self-designed a curriculum that she trusts, merging several sources. But she is also adaptable. She can pivot to focus on topics you want to discuss. Best of all, I feel that she truly cares about her students’ progress. She is the only language teacher I have ever had who keeps notes on each of your lessons, sends a written reminder of homework and has a WhatsApp group for you to connect with her other Swahili students. 👍🏼

Mwalimu Tina is perhaps the most dedicated swahili teacher on the platform right now. Her knowledge of what tools and methods adult learners need for learning a language have been more than helpful in my learning journey. She energetic and adaptive, and designs her lessons around the interests of her students. Highly recommended for any beginners in Swahili!

It was amazing to have a splendid conversation with Tina! She is frendly, nice, and engaging! I felt relaxed instantly after I've booked a class with her because she has a nice personality and she loves learning about the world, different countries and cultures (same with me). We've talked about differences between USA, Russia, and Tanzania, interests and about teachers I've met on iTalki. She said that I can speak English very well with almost no mistakes and with a very good American accent which I appreciate from her! She gave me a great feedback about my English! At the end we've also discussed my weak points in English grammar and how to improve them. We've had a lot of fun for today (we've laughed a lot)! It was great to meet her and I hope I'll see her again soon! She is amazing!
