I'm a native German teacher, living in South Korea. With 8+ years of experience and a linguistics background, I now specialize in **conversation-based lessons** and **test prep (Goethe/telc/TestDaF)**. As a teacher, I'm experienced in many different areas of the job (offline & online｜all levels A1-C1｜groups & 1:1｜textbook, conversation & test prep Goethe/telc/TestDaF｜language learning content / material / textbook development).
But I gravitate naturally towards a person-centered (focus on individual, rather than enforcing rigid curricula), relational (good learner-teacher-relationship), and narrative (embedding everything within context, meaning & emotional value) approach to teaching / language learning.

Creating a nice atmosphere in class
This is most important to me because I think it greatly helps the learning process and keeps you motivated.
Finding the right amount of challenge
I don't want you to feel overwhelmed or stressed, because that is just counterproductive. I like to keep things fun while still helping you improve.
Adjusting to you
I believe there isn't one perfect way to teach. Every learner has different needs. And I think I'm quite good at noticing those needs and adjusting to them naturally.
Keeping it real

I think the video expresses very well what Elisabeth offers. Elisabeth has a sharp understanding of the students level, listens carefully and offers useful advice at opportune moments. I was given some excellent feedback and advice on what I need to do to improve my level and will take a lot from this lesson. Today was the first time I met Elisabeth and I'm sure it won't be the last!

I've been taking Elizabeth's conversation classes, and I am absolutely happy with her classes. Before, I think I often got too frustrated while practicing speaking since I couldn't really express what I want to say, and the conversation didn't feel so natural and fun. But Elizabeth is super patient and encouraging, and she is extremely good at catching what I am trying to say with my limited German. Her corrections and suggestions are always on point, and she indeed makes the class fun and comfortable. Definitely recommend her class to people who have similar experiences to mine :)
