Hello! I'm Umiema from Sudan. I have excellent communication skills and enjoy teaching students of all ages and cultural backgrounds. I've taught young learners, IELTS and all levels of ESL both face-to-face and online. My approach to teaching is to make it fun and interactive so that students find learning enjoyable and are motivated to continue their English language journey and improve through consistency and practice. My teaching style is influenced by my student's age, desires and deadlines. I offer lessons aiding students with homework, give tutoring, conversation practice speech coaching lessons on culture, travel and many other common and niche topics. Over time I analyze how students respond to different methods of learning and incorporate more of their preferred methods into lessons. I pack lessons grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing exercises and games, also giving students additional work. Different to my previous teaching position, I had more responsibilities such as orientations for newly hired teachers, assistance in syllabus creation for adults and young learners, teaching IELTS preparation and teaching university students academic English and English for business.

Online English teacherThis Position taught me how to nativigate online classes using virtual platforms. I taught students in over 5 countries and continue to do so currently. The approaching to teaching online is quite different to face-to-face classes and I've learnt to keep students engaged, educated and consistent online.
