こんにちは！I’m Masami, a Japanese teacher with 20+ years of experience specializing in JLPT prep, cultural immersion (tea ceremony, kimono, calligraphy), and conversational Japanese. Born in Japan, I’ve lived across Europe and China, blending deep cultural roots with global perspectives.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me practicing tea ceremony, playing classical music (oboe/piano), or cooking vegan dishes. As a language learner myself (Dutch C2, Chinese B1), I truly understand the challenges beginners face.

I have experience in teaching Japanese for more than 20 years, having started in Japan, then in Austria, UK, the Netherlands and in China. I have taught from small children to adults, in various institutes from language schools to High schools.
I can explain the logic of grammars in a simple way so that you can understand it well.
Moreover, I love communicating with people and love to see my students improve with their language skills as to talk more about themselves to me.
I myself also love learning languages. I speak English and Dutch fluently. German, Chinese, Spanish and French are on the way. Thus, I don't forget the beginner's mind. Language is the tool of communication! บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
If you already following a textbook, I would try to teach you using the book you have. I have taught with various kinds of textbooks, and I can adapt easily.
If you don't have textbook yet, but would like one, I can recommend one to you after assessing your target, learning style and requirements.
If you would rather not use textbook, I can give you important grammar points at every lesson as to practice with you. I make my own materials and was involved in developing exercise books which were published.

Voor de Nederlanders onder ons die graag Japans willen leren maar geen adequate Japanse lessen in hun stad of dorp hebben, is Masami echt fantastisch. Ze kan heel goed Nederlands waardoor het een stuk makkelijker is om op te pikken. Daarnaast kan ze het ook heel goed uitleggen en kan ze tussendoor ook vragen beantwoorden over de Japanse cultuur. Ze heeft mij heel goed voorbereid voor mijn reis naar Japan. Echt een aanrader om lessen bij te volgen!
