Hi, my name is Masami. I was born and raised in Japan. In my twenties I moved to Europe and lived in Austria, UK and the Netherlands for more than 20 years in total. After having lived in China for 3 years, I am back again in the Netherlands since August 2022.
My hobbies include Japanese Tea Ceremony (Kimono, Calligraphy Flower arrangement, Zen teachings etc), Classical Music (playing Oboe, Sax and Piano), Travelling (visited many countries in my life), reading and writing etc.
I am also interested in the Environmental issues. I am vegan myself and trying to live sustainably as possible.
Most of all, I love people and enjoy listening to people. I would love to listen to you too!ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I have experience in teaching Japanese for more than 20 years, having started in Japan, then in Austria, UK, the Netherlands and in China. I have taught from small children to adults, in various institutes from language schools to High schools.
I can explain the logic of grammars in a simple way so that you can understand it well.
Moreover, I love communicating with people and love to see my students improve with their language skills as to talk more about themselves to me.
I myself also love learning languages. I speak English and Dutch fluently. German, Chinese, Spanish and French are on the way. Thus, I don't forget the beginner's mind. Language is the tool of communication!บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
If you already following a textbook, I would try to teach you using the book you have. I have taught with various kinds of textbooks, and I can adopt easily.
If you don't have textbook yet, but would like one, I can recommend one to you after assessing your target, learning style and requirements.
If you would rather not use textbook, I can give you important grammar points at every lesson as to practice with you. I make my own materials and was involved in developing exercise books which were published.

I had such a fun time talking with Masami for our first conversation! She made it feel very natural and is incredibly positive and was able to match my level seamlessly. I learned some great new words, she is really great about gently correcting sentence structure so I can say what I intended to say and then having me repeat it. The time flew by! I can't wait for our next meeting.
