My name is Haruna. I was born and raised in Japan, and I am a native Japanese speaker who speaks standard Japanese. I lived abroad in Seattle for six months learning English. My hobbies include traveling, cooking, taking photos, and visiting cafes. I also love meeting new people and learning about different languages and cultures.

I completed Japanese Language Teacher Training Course at university, and received a qualification to teach professionally. I have over 3,500 hours of experience teaching Japanese to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels over the past four years. Additionally, while I was in university, I volunteered in the United States to support students learning Japanese. I am also studying multiple languages myself, so I fully understand the challenges of learning more than one language. I have taken over twenty lessons with Haruna, and I must say that she is a professional, knowledgeable, diligent, and capable teacher. Today we finished a chapter of our vocabulary book. Our next class will be a review test of the first two chapters. I am equally surprised by how much I remember and how much I forgot, so I am looking forward to testing my skills. I felt very confident during our latest textbook quiz. Haruna sensei always does a great job of keeping me on track and is an essential part of my Japanese learning.

Haruna-sensei was very kind and I appreciated her thorough questions in order to get to know me and my learning goals. Though it was difficult to express myself at times, she listened patiently and asked clarifying questions to make sure she understood me. Haruna-sensei adjusted quickly to my level, and I felt that she was very willing to accommodate my requests for the lesson style. She provided useful information in the chat as well. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to study Japanese!

Today Haruna sensei helped me vent about something at work in Japanese. It was fun to use vocabulary I don't normally get to, and she helped me use better ways to express myself. We also took a vocab test and I think I did fairly well.
