I’m Lana, a linguist and language teacher with 19+ years of experience. I’ve taught students from many countries and previously taught language courses at Chiang Mai University in Thailand.
I live an international, travel-based lifestyle, moving between different countries and cultures, and languages have always been at the center of my life.
I help adults speak English or Russian with confidence for work, travel, hobbies, and international life.
I’m also fascinated by how the brain learns languages, so my lessons combine real conversation with insights from neuroscience.
My goal is simple: help you stop translating and start thinking in the language.

After many years of teaching, what still surprises me is that moment when a student suddenly pauses and says, “Wait… I’m actually speaking.”
In my classes, we think, discuss, question, and sometimes even argue a little. Language becomes a tool for expressing ideas, not just completing exercises.
I like explaining things clearly and simply, especially grammar that once felt confusing. Curiosity is always welcome in my lessons.
Students often tell me they relax and forget they’re “studying” because the conversation becomes natural.

My lessons focus on real communication. I want you actually to use the language, not just study it.
We work on speaking, useful vocabulary, and grammar, explained clearly and logically. I ask a lot of questions and encourage you to express your ideas, even if your sentences aren’t perfect yet.
Conversations often grow naturally and can move into interesting topics like travel, culture, psychology, books, art, science, or everyday life.
Lessons are adapted to your goals, level, and interests. I teach adults only and create a relaxed space where mistakes are part of learning.
