I am Arturo and I come from Italy.
I love languages and cultures from all around the world.
I have been learning languages from my early childhood and I have been traveling a lot (I even worked as a flight attedant for a short time!).
Languages, linguistics and anthopology are my greatest interests – or, better said – my passions.
I am always looking for new languages to learn and I also love to study the cultures behind them.
In my free time, I enjoy playing bass in a cover band.

I am both a language learner as well as a language teacher.
I hold a master degree in Japanese and I can fluently speak English, Spanish, French and Japanese, on top of my mother tongue, Italian.
I also have a lesser degree of fluency in some other languages, such as Portuguese, German, Wolof or Mandarin.
On top of that, as a linguist I studied the structure (i.e.: grammar, phonology and lexicon) of many other languages that I can claim little or no fluency in: Cantonese, Hakka, Zulu etc.
I spent a lot of time researching in language acquisition theories and methods and my whole language teaching activity is based on this.บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
My lessons are unique!
I use some special techniques designed to let you ABSORB the language from day 1.
We will talk *in* Italian, instead of *about* Italian.
We will use the language actively and you will acquire it as a result of our communication.
In each lesson, I will introduce you a new portion of the language IN CONTEXT. I will make sure you understand everything I say, then we will use the new information in a questions-and-answers routine. I will encourage you to reply in Italian but you will not be forced to do so until you feel ready.

- short and funny stories from the Look I Can Talk series
- your everyday life
- common everyday events

Arturo is a fantastic teacher with lots of experience learning and teaching languages. It's difficult to find a teacher who's up-to-date on the latest development in linguistics and the teaching of foreign languages. We've known for a while that old approach of focusing on grammar and artificially compartmentalizing the language doesn't work. I'm glad to have found Arturo because I'm making progress much faster than I would with the traditional method! I also like the techniques that Arturo has developed and how he's using online whiteboards to teach.
