Kai is phenomenal. I'm taking Taiwanese Hokkien classes with him, and even though I speak Mandarin as well, he speaks Taiwanese with me 95% of the time so I'm being properly immersed. I'm a super beginner and he is unbelievably patient. Thanks to these lessons, I finally feel like a lifelong goal of learning my ancestral tongue is reachable. 5/5 would recommend Kai <3

Kai was effective and encouraging in his tutoring, even though, due to pressure of circumstances, I had come to the lesson poorly prepared. I still felt I had been given the opportunity to practise phrasing my thoughts, and consequently felt also that I'd improved my understanding of Taiwanese and ... as always ... I'd left the lesson feeling enthused to learn more.

Happy with how expertly Kai is able to steer and sustain conversation in productive directions, with a good feel for what for me counts as interesting and comprehensible input.

Kai is very enthusiastic and teaches with great energy. He speaks very clearly and loudly, as well as uses a lot of expressions while conversing. I can tell he has a lot of experience teaching and has lot of skills and tools to offer to his students.

My first lesson in a while and Kai was great - patient, helpful and a good energy. Looking forward to my next class!
